PIEDMONT

The cellar of Giuseppe Cortese is located on the gentle hills of Barbaresco in the heart of the Langhe. Historical cellar in the area, has been cultivating the vine for three generations, and until 1971 when Giuseppe Cortese decided to start making wine, he sold grapes to the local cooperative. Giuseppe cultivates eight hectares of vineyards that are located in the natural amphitheater that opens between the hill of Rabaja, one of the most prestigious and prestigious Cru for the production of Barbaresco, and that of Trifolera where are located the vineyards of Chardonnay, Dolcetto and Barbera . Old vineyards that reach even sixty years of age, manicured in full respect for the environment and nature, abolishing any form of chemical substance. The same care and attention is placed in the new wine cellar, where the grapes are processed strictly and on time with traditional methods, and the new wine is refined in large Slavonian or French oak barrels and barriques. Giuseppe Cortese has a strong bond with the territory and tradition and fully appreciates the wines of Barbaresco. Today's tradition is guarded and guided by Giuseppe's sons: Pier Carlo and Tiziana who with her husband Gabriele look to the future with the determination that has always distinguished the Cortese family.
