Producer Stefano Legnani

Stefano Legnani arrives in Sarzana, in the hamlet of Badia, after a life spent in Bologna as an insurance agent. Small producer cultivates two hectares, and his Vermentino vineyards are less than 10 years old. He loves natural wine and takes care of his vineyards in a maniacal way; prohibited the use of synthetic products, uses only copper and sulfur, makes green manure and mulches to make the soil fertile and relies on earthworms for subsoil operations. In the cellar spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts, maceration on the skins, limited use of sulphites and no filtration or clarification. Three wines produced; the "Bamboo Road" obtained from grapes come from old rows that Stefano manages by farmers in the area, the "Ponte di toi" produced with maceration on the skins, and finally Il Loup Garou, a tribute to Willy De Ville, with the same grapes of the "Ponte de Toi" but with a longer maceration. Stefano is part of Vinnatur and his wines are immediately snapped up especially in Japan where he is considered a real star. Wines are elegant, delicious, mineral, and respectful of the soil and the environment.
