Producer De Fermo

ABRUZZO

De Fermo is located in Loreto Aprutino, between the Adriatic and the southernmost glacier of Europe, which was born only in 2009 but in a few years it has been able to carve out an important place in Abruzzo viticulture. Located in a historic villa dating back to the 7th century, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods. The vineyards comprise 17 hectares of Pecorino, about one hectare, Chardonnay, 4 hectares, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for the rest. All vineyards are breeded with biodynamic dictates and in the cellar only indigenous yeasts, no oenological aid, no temperature control, fermentation and refining only in large or cemented woods, no filtration, stabilization or clarification are used before bottling. All their wines reflect the philosophy of the De Fermo; Spirits, education, study and observation that represent the search for the depth, strength and substance of their actions.
