Producer La Marca di San Michele

La Marca di San Michele is located in Contrada San Michele in the municipality of Cupramontana. The winery was founded in 2006 by Alessandro and Beatrice Bonci, along with Daniela Lent. All from different working experiences, they decided to return in the beautiful brands to make wine, the same wine that already have their grandfathers and fathers produced with love and passion. They cultivate 10 hectares of vineyards, 9 and one of Verdicchio di Montepulciano, located in the hills 400 meters s.l.m. on a calcareous clay soil. All work in the vineyard, as well as the harvest of the grapes during the harvest, are conducted manually. Cellar interventions are kept to a minimum and only use indigenous yeasts and minimum sulfur content to produce a wine that is as authentic as possible and that reflects the terroir from which he was born. Current production is about 30,000 bottles divided into four labels: the "PassoLento" and "Upside Down" produced with Verdicchio grapes, "Bastioncontrario" made with grapes of Montepulciano and finally a classic method from Verdicchio grapes with 24 months on the lees.
