The winery of Armin and Monica Kobler is at Magrè at the end South of South Tyrol. Founded in the 1950s by Armin's father who cultivated the vine to sell the grapes to the cooperative. From the 2006 harvest, Kobler spouses decided to start grafting some of their grapes with the aim of producing wines that best reflect the terroir, variety of grapes and vintage grape harvest. All this results in a vineyard management with the abolition of any means of synthesis, a low yield per hectare and just as much care in the cellar during the process of vinification with spontaneous fermentation, only native yeasts and refinements in steel tanks. The grapes come from several vineyards that are found mainly on limestone and sandy-lime soils; The Ogeaner, raised to Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay, the Klausner, cultivated at Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Carmenère, the Kotzner, where Schiava and Merlot plants, Puit with Cabernet Franc, Oberfeld with Pinot grape vines, And the Feld Vineyard with the Gewürztraminer. Kobler's wines are genuine, authentic and respectful of terroir.
