Today, under the pressure of some prominent producers, the spotlight of the world has returned to be on the Jura. Following in the footsteps of the "Jurassian pioneers", in the last decade a new generation has taken hold with great motivation and dynamism, bringing the hectares of vines to almost 2,000 today. Of this group of young people, Domaine de la Borde certainly represents one of the most interesting realities. Its story begins in 2003 when Julien Mareschal, returning from various wine making experiences around the world, buys 4.5 hectares in the Côte de Caillot, just outside Pupillin. One idea in mind: defined, clean and straight wines, the exact expression of the fantastic Jurassian terroirs. Mareschal has chosen a natural approach for the management of the vineyards in order to have the maximum respect for the terroir. Phytosanitary treatments are reduced to a minimum and those that are practiced cannot be used with chemical synthesis products. In the wines of the Domaine de la Borde, therefore, there is not only tradition, but you can very easily see the love for your territory and the passion for things done well.
