Hungary
Hungary produces very interesting wines and, if it was known above all for the sweet ones, Tokaji, in recent years it is making itself known internationally also for reds and whites. In Hungary we find international white berried grapes such as Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, while among red berried grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir are appreciated. Eastern Europe, such as Muscat Lunel, Furmint, Kéknyelü, Hárslevelü, Olaszrizling, Szürkebarát and Tramini among the white berried grapes, while among the red we can list Kadarka, Kékoporto, Kékfrankos and the Zweigelt. There are 22 wine regions among which the most important of which are Tokaj, Kunsag, Eger, Csongrad, Hajos-Baja, Villany and Szekszard. The most famous and rich in history region is certainly Tokaj-Hegyalja, on the border with Slovakia, centered right on Tokaji Aszú but also on dry white wines, mainly with Furmint, Hárslevelü and Muscat Lunel grapes. The region of Villany, south of Hungary, produces the best and most full-bodied reds in the country with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The most technologically advanced region is Szekszárd - Tolna. Another very famous wine is the legendary 'Egri Bikavér, (Eger's Bull Blood) prepared with Kekfrankos and other vines, high alcohol content, male, with a beautiful ruby red color, all fire and flame.
