The Merlo Nero di Collecapretta is a wine that is produced from Merlot grapes. Fermentation in open vats with its own yeasts for 6 days and refinement in fiberglass for 8 months. Aromas of blackberry and sweet spices on the nose and notes of humus, wet earth and dry leaves. In the mouth it is rich and fat but the tannic presence and acidity preserve elegance and poise. The finish is of coffee and currants.
