Gueli's "Calcareus" is a full-bodied red wine made from Nero d'Avola grapes. It takes its name from the “Limestone” soils of the Scintilla, rich in calcium, stony and fertile which give the wine great freshness and drinkability. The refinement takes place for 24-30 months in wooden barrels with a capacity of 220 liters, and then, after bottling, the wine ages for another 6 months in glass. A wine that gives hints of ripe cherry, which are followed by notes of aromatic and balsamic herbs.
