ROMANIA

The Wiinegut Edgar Brutler winery is a family business founded in 2018, located in the village of Beltiug in Transylvania. They cultivate about 4 hectares of old vines organically. The varietal composition within these vineyards is varied, however, the main varieties are Welschiesling and Feteasca regalá but, there are still many other different varieties to be classified and some vineyards are completely unknown. The grapes are processed in a traditional 200-year-old cellar which is buried in the clayey hills of the village. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, and all in wines are not filtered.

Saito by Edgar Brutler is a strong white wine with aromatic herbs aromas obtained from a blend of local grapes that come from old vineyards. The name Saito derives from the Hungarian word "lias" and refers to the original wooden houses in the vineyards, which were called "Sajtohaz", where in the past the grapes were pressed. Meta wine is aged in used oak barrels and the other in clay amphorae for a year. Transylvania knows how to amaze with Edgar Brutler's wines.
