FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA

Sandy Skerk's cellar is located in Duino Aurisina, in the province of Trieste, just 500 meters from the border with Slovenia. Sandy, along with his family, founded his cellar in 1990 in one of the most arid and difficult areas in Italy, so that his viticulture can be termed heroic. Skerk's philosophy and finding an understanding between man and Nature and to do this we dedicate soul and body to the cultivation of vines with biological practices and the use of ancient vinification techniques. Skerk grows 6 hectares of vineyards, located at 250 m.s.l.m., kissed by the sea breeze and located on red, stony and rich limestone soils that give grapes of quality. Brewed vineyards are the native Terrano, Malvasia Istriana and Vitoska, which have proven over the centuries to ensure the best results in these soils and climatic conditions, and the international Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio that in blend with Vitoska and Malvasia give rise to wine Called Ograde. The wines are vinified in a cellar excavated in the rock, with macerations and refinements in truncoconus oak oak. Crafty, clean wines and great drinkability. .
