Emilia Romagna

Emilia Romagna is a region marked by numerous rivers that travel it longitudinally, and the physical shape of the region is half flat and hilly, while the rest is occupied by the Ligurian and Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. These differences are also found in the many types of vineyards and traditions sometimes spaced apart. Viticulture, which is largely mechanized, is well-practiced, although in recent years many producers have started to focus more on quality production and quantity. The most cultivated vineyards are the Albana, the Trebianum with regard to those with white berry, while for reds there are Sangiovese di Romagna and Lambrusco, in the types of Sorbara, Salamino and Grasparossa. There are many DOCs, while DOCGs are only two: the Albana di Romagna and the Sangiovese Superiore di Romagna. Starting from the province of Piacenza, we find the Gutturnio, a good red wine obtained by the grape of Barbera and Croatina, the Ortrugo, white wine obtained from the homonymous grape variety, and Monterosso Val d'Arda, from Malvasia di Candia grapes. We also find the beautiful Vin Santo of Vigoleno. In the nearby province of Parma, the most cultivated grape variety is Candia Malvasia Aromatica, which is vinified in various varieties, from the dry version to the lovable, to the sparkling wine. Between Reggio Emilia and Modena, the absolute protagonist is Lambrusco, in various varieties, from Marani to Maetri, from Montericco to Salamino, both dry and lovable. Today, lambrusco, thanks to the careful work of several winemakers, is reviving a new revival. In Bologna we find white grape vines such as Pignoletto and Montù, and red berries, such as Fortana, which in the provinces of Ferrara is part of the name Bosco Eliseo, and is grown in sandy soils on foot, and for this reason Reason is called sands wine, and Sangiovese di Romagna, a powerful red. The beginning of the vineyards of Sangiovese di Romagna and Trebbiano from the entrance to Romagna. Among the provinces of Forli and Cesena, we find the Albana with which we obtain dried, sweet and passive wines, and the rare Centesimino, red grape vine. In Romagna we can find the Pagadebit grape variety, which is the Apulian White Bomb, so called by the peasants because it was the common vine that each year produced many grapes even in difficult years.
