Matervi is a young, dynamic winery located on the hills of Fara Vicentino at the foot of the Asiago plateau, in the province of Vicenza. At the helm we find Alberto Rigon, passionate about quality artisan wines that has been making wine since he was 16 years old. Today, after 10 years of harvests, mistakes and many experiments, he is perfectly aware of what he does and above all of what he wants to obtain from his grapes. Its 3 hectares of vineyards are located in Breganze, and among the rows we find grapes of Tocai, Pinot bianco, Pinot nero and Vespaiola. Its vineyards do not see the shadow of a pesticide that would damage the plant and the ground. In the cellar we try to intervene as little as possible; no stabilizers or fining agents are used and fermentation occurs spontaneously thanks to the yeasts naturally present in the grapes. 3 wines produced; Tainot, a sparkling white wine obtained from a blend of Tocai Friulano, Pinot Bianco, Pinto Nero and Vespaiola, Vespaiolo, a white wine based on Vespaiola, and the Anonimo, rosé wine that comes from Groppella, Pinot Vanderville grapes. All its wines are "underground wines", where reference is made to the production of wine in respect of the territory and the figure of the producer, defined as a craftsman in all respects.
