I Mandorli

I Mandorli

The story of The Almond was born in 2002 when Massimo Pasquetti remains fascinated by some hectares of land in Belvedere di Suvereto and becomes the owner. In 2003 were planted the first vineyards of Sangiovese in the north-east, while in 2004 in the south-east, the first vineyards of Cabernet. The presence and experience of Andrea Bargiacchi, expert "winegrower" related biological-dynamic agriculture, accompanied from the start of their percorso.Oggi their agricultural reality has widened by about 2 hectares their facilities with new vineyards Cabernet exposed to the sea, an amphitheater positioned to collect the sun's rays the whole day, and new Sangiovese and Aleatico grafts on Brindisi Malvasia vines. Finally a small part of Vermentino Corso has become part of their history of vigneti.La Almond does not come from a family with agricultural origins handed down over time, but from a family with a constant attention for the respect of the land and of the methods of cultivation of this. It stems from a sensitivity to a type of agriculture in general that has the task of protecting and safeguarding the territory, but also arises from the people that still amaze in front of the vitality and the strength that nature offers. Our wine is an expression of the earth, of that very territory with certain characteristics, becoming an intermediary between the earth and man.
