The Giuseppe Rinaldi winery was founded in 1890 by Battista Rinaldi, who after having cultivated the vineyards of the Marchese Falletti di Barolo for many years, became the owner of a small vineyard and, initially, a seller of the grapes produced. Later, with his sons, he became a winemaker and bottler. Today, with the same company tradition, of character and artisanal dimensions, the winery is managed by the daughter of Giuseppe Rinaldi, Mara, who died a few years ago. Marta after graduating in oenology at the prestigious school of Alba, has always worked in the company maturing a long experience in the cellar and vineyards, having always followed his father in his business. In the seven hectares of vineyards are grapes of Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, and Nebbiolo. The latter are found in the most renowned crus of Barolo: Brunate, Cannubi-San Lorenzo and Ravera. In the vineyard is fertilized with manure, the treatments are only with copper and sulfur, and the harvest is manual. The same philosophy is also followed in the cellar with fermentations with only natural yeasts, macerations in wooden vats, and aging in large oak barrels. The wines are deep, complex, always different from year to year, faithful mirror of the traditional Langa and with a strong natural inspiration.
