CasalPriore - Terrevive
The Casalpriore estate took root centuries ago in the heart of the historic Reggio-Modena area, with the highest "Lambrusco" tradition. In these districts, lying on the alluvial soils of the Tresinaro stream, a tributary of the Secchia, vines have been cultivated since time immemorial, but the literature shows ancient Rossist vocations since the Middle Ages. The historic building in Casalpriore still houses seventeenth-century wine vessels and it was in San Martino in Rio that the first Reggiano social cellar was born, back in 1906. Tradition, therefore, but also ancient skills, those that Gabriele Ronzoni wanted to keep alive when he acquired the property in 1987. Today the company is led by Gianluca Bergianti, who strongly wanted to preserve the work carried out in respect of the terroir, with an organic agronomic approach (Icea certification) and biodynamic, on all 5.6 hectares of vineyards company. The winemaking follows the trappings of a non-interventionist tradition, banning all oenological additives other than sulfur (however used in almost homeopathic doses). Spontaneous fermentation or assisted by the must with a pied de cuve, without filtration or forced clarification, close a circle that leads to the packaging of sparkling red wines of great expressive naturalness.
