Casa Pardet is located in the small village of Verdù, famous for its ceramics, but also for its wines. Verdù is located not far from Lleida, in the denomination Costers del Segre, in Catalonia. The company was founded in 1993 by Mia and Pep Torres, with the idea of producing biodynamic wines and transferring the energy vitality of the vineyards into each individual bottle of wine. Mia and Pep cultivate 5 hectares of vineyards planted in Cabernet Sauvignon, Trepat and Chardonnay, which are located about 400 meters above sea level on land composed mainly of limestone and clay. No winemaking practice is used in the cellar, but only spontaneous fermentations and refinements in steel tanks or in amphorae. All wines are not filtered before bottling because Pep firmly believes that if you remove something from the bottle, you also take all the natural life from the wine. In addition to wine, also interesting wine vinegars are produced with the same philosophy.
