Magliocco "Toccomagliocco" - L'Acino

The Toccomagliocco is obtained from Maglio Grapes, an autochthonous red calabrian abacus vine. The grapes come from vines cultivated in organic growing on a lime, sandy and clay soil. The fermentation is spontaneous with the only yeast yeasts and is made of steel. The aging is 10 months in used tonneaux. The Toccamocco is not filtered. Intense ruby red color. At the nose the scents are ripe red berry fruit, with spices notes. The palate is warm and enveloping, mineral, fresh and dynamic with a long persistence.

Service

We recommend tasting the Toccomagliocco at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip goblets. Wine to drink immediately but leave a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.

Pairing

Great in combination with tasty dishes, grilled meats, to try with a bacon of citrus pork.

Cellar: L' Acino

L' Acino winery is located on the Piana di Sibari, between Ionio and the Tyrrhenian Sea, between the Pollino and the Sila, areas where there is a small witch for self-consumption next to each house. Acino was born in 2006 by an idea of three friends, Antonello Canonico, Emilio Di Cianni and Dino Briglio who decide to produce wine in a tough, rough and hard land, but generous as Calabria may be. Immediately they decided to focus on a biodynamic viticulture that respected nature, land and dignity in a territory. The cultivated hectares are cultivated mainly with ancient Calabrian native vines; The Mantonico, the White Guarnaccia and the Greek with which the two white wines are produced, the Chora Bianco and the MantonicOZ, the other breeding vine is the Magliocco with which they produce Tocco Magliocco and Chora Red. Territorial wines, where roots sink into the earth and absorb the history and uniqueness of this land by enriching wines.
